Job Summary: Xanterra Parks & Resorts has an immediate opening for a Benefits Administrator at Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort in Death Valley National Park.

Summary: Responsible for administering benefit plan communications, enrollment, changes and problem solving. Perform extensive computer data entry for employee activity in Lawson System. Assist employees with benefit related problems. Assist in other areas as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Ensure employees familiarity with Company insurance plan by conducting insurance enrollment meetings.
2. Communicate updated enrollment/change information with insurance carriers and corporate office.
3. Assist with monthly/insurance billing reconciliation and audits as required.
4. Seek resolution in insurance billing/payment problems for employees as needed.
5. Enter all employee hire, change and termination activity into Lawson system.
6. Create and run Lawson HRIS reports as needed.
7. Track all sick and vacation benefit activity for employees, departments and property transfers.
8. Responsible for birthday and anniversary recognition.
9. Assist with filing, phone and processing new employees as needed.
10. Perform a wide variety of administrative support tasks.

The Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort is located in Death Valley National Park, 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada (an easy two-hour drive), and 300 miles northeast of Los Angeles.

Qualifications: Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated professional verbal and written communications skills - strong customer service skills and ability to work well with others.
2. Appropriate public contact skills in dealing with persons with a wide variety of backgrounds, ability to deal tactfully with problem situations.
3. Knowledge of office procedures, protocol and file maintenance.
4. Excellent PC skills including MS Office Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook and Lawson and E-Recruiting applications.
5. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Physical Demands:
Ability to work in extreme temperatures when necessary.
