REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Audit Clerks report directly to the Location Controller and Assistant Location Controller.
RESPONSIBILITES:
The Audit Clerk will support and assist the Location Controller and Assistant Location Controller in all aspects of location accounting responsibilities.
Included among the responsibilities of the Audit Clerk are the following:
1. Prepare sales reports, ring out cash register, verify bank deposits and credit deposits;
2. Audit reports and food checks. Control numbered forms;
3. Prepare daily cash and credit card deposits;
4. Prepare employee payoffs for terminations and cash payroll checks throughout the season;
5. Ensure that TARS accounting policy and procedure are followed by all departments;
6. Cover shifts for accounting staff cashiers as needed;
7. Sell meal coupons and exchange currency. Various interaction with all levels of employees at location;
8. Provide answers concerning payroll to employees;
9. Perform minor cash register maintenance such as paper jams, ribbon joins, etc.;
10. Provide assistance in the training of new cashiers as well as audit clerks;
11. Responsible for the smooth running of the accounting office in the absence of the Location Controller, Assistant Location Controller, and Senior Audit Clerk;
12. Responsible for accurate, daily counts of the house bank;
13. Prepare transmitters and sign for deliveries from the armored courier;
14. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while on duty and in dealing with both employees and guests;
15. Provide certain accounting information to all departments of the location;
16. Responsible for confidentiality and adherence to all TARS accounting security and procedural policies;
17. Respond to fire alarms, knowing correct procedures for emergency situations at location.
18. Perform duties outside the job classification, as assigned by management.
AUTHORITIES:
1. To communicate to the Location Controller or Assistant Location Controller any problems concerning the security of company assets.
2. To make suggestions to the Location Controller or Assistant Location Controller for improving the cashier and audit clerk's skills, training methods, report forms, etc.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
1. Knowledge of accounting procedures preferred.
2. Knowledge of company policy, particularly accounting policy preferred.
3. Knowledge of cash register operations preferred.
4. Operation of ten-key calculator by touch preferred.
5. Time management skills.
6. Organizational skills.
7. Business communication skills.
8. Basic knowledge of computers preferred.
9. Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
10. General cash handling experience preferred.
11. Possess physical stamina and condition to withstand extensive walking, standing and/or sitting for up to eight hours; lifting and physical activities involved in moving and transporting supplies and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds for twenty feet.
12. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
