Ensures that all employees receive accurate paychecks on a timely basis.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
1. Reconcile Daily Labor Report to actual payroll.
2. Check Kronos reports for errors and correct when necessary.
3. Post to payroll transmittal all hours worked, PANs, holiday pay, tips, etc.
4. Audit the tips reported for accuracy and extend information on an Excel spreadsheet in preparation for entry into the payroll system.
5. Maintain tip reporting files on a bi-weekly basis and update (balance to General Ledger) monthly.
6. Retrieve any Employee meal charges and verify accuracy. Extend information on an Excel spreadsheet in preparation for entry into the payroll system for deduction.
7. Pull Kronos information into the payroll system bi-weekly so that employees can be paid. Keypunch manual checks and adjustments accurately. Audit and correct all edits.
8. Print paychecks and stuff envelopes.
9. Accurately write, log and keypunch manual checks when needed.
10. Pass out paychecks to employees or Department managers on Wednesday.
11. Research wage comparison for the different departments as requested.
12. On master file, check all year-to-date out of balances and make adjustments.
13. Keep track of all garnishment requests and payments. Sets up garnishments in the payroll system.
14. Check all W-2s and mail to each employee. Re-issue if necessary.
15. Notify Human Resources of all corrections to be made on employee master files.
16. Answer and solve all payroll problems employees inquire about.
17. Ensures that all information is kept confidential and locked in filing cabinet.
18. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
19. Must be able to work holidays, weekends and other shifts as necessary.
20. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
21. Must be detail oriented.
22. Ability to courteously interact with a broad cross-section of guests.
23. Ability to be well groomed, neat and clean.
24. Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual for any scheduled shift.
25. Ability to follow instructions.
26. Ability to deal with people tactfully.

| Qualifications: |
Experience Required:
1. Basic education at high school level.
2. Proficient with basic computer skills, Excel and Word at a minimum.
3. Basic math skills and experience operating a ten-key calculator.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Previous experience with Kronos AS/400 preferred.
6. Previous accounting experience preferred. |
