Generate food and beverage and win activity revenue for the property; work with clients to coordinate all aspects of their meeting; communicate client’s needs to all departments to ensure efficient operational follow through; serve as liaison between client and operational departments.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
1. Handle incoming inquiries for space and rooms efficiently and with sales professionalism on a timely basis.
2. Create accounts with applicable notes in the computer system for all incoming calls.
3. Monitor signed contracts and deposits for groups.
4. Create and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to client and hotel staff.
5. Possess superior product knowledge and must be able to talk about features and benefits of property with current and potential clients.
6. Assist with the overall Property Marketing Plan.
7. Work with clients to coordinate all aspects of their meeting needs.
8. Sell wine activities and stay properly informed with current wine events and prices.
9. Follow through with contracted menus, prices, meeting room set-up, etc.
10. Maintain a good working relationship with clients to encourage repeat bookings.
11. Complete and maintain accurate files.
12. Coordinate information with other departments.
13. Keep well versed on all food and beverage procedures and guidelines.
14. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
15. Must be able to work holidays, weekends and other shifts as necessary.
16. Must be able to occasionally climb, kneel and lift up to 40 lbs.
17. Must be able to frequently bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, balance and push/pull.
18. Must have profound listening skills.
19. Ability to be well groomed, neat, clean and professional in every way.
20. Ability to remain controlled and courteous during fast-paced, stressful situations.
21. Ability to multi-task. |

Experience Required:
1. Minimum of 2 years experience in a hotel/resort.
2. Basic education skills at the high school level or equivalent.
3. Knowledge of the local area surrounding the property.
4. Basic computer skills.
5. Proven communication and organizational skills.
6. Strong problem solving skills.
7. Previous sales and guest service experience.
8. Telephone etiquette. |
